3 Spirulina Masks you should try TODAY!

Spirulina is not only for your smoothies and juices and taking internally. It is, in fact AMAZING for the skin! 

I'm going to show you 3 amazing DIY Spirulina face mask recipes that you can make in your kitchen. Depending on your skin type and what suits you, you can try any of the 3. With these face masks you will get all the amazing minerals and enzymes your skin needs without the nastiness of chemicals and unnecessary extras. When you're confused, always come back to nature!

1. If you have oily skin : Fuss Free Mask with just 2 ingredients!

  • 2 tsp Organic Tree of Lif3 Spirulina powder
  • Filtered water

Add water sparingly and slowly to spirulina to form a smooth paste. Spread evenly on your face with your fingers and let it dry for 15 minutes. Wash out with lukewarm water. Spirulina will clean out your pores and give you essential vitamins that bring a bright glow.

2. If your skin is on the drier side : Soften and Hydrate with this rich mask

Mash the avocado and mix in all other ingredients to form a smooth paste. Apply on your face and leave on for 15 mins - 1 hour :) Wash off with warm water. 

3. If you have scars and marks from pimples / If you want to tone and tighten your skin

Mix all 3 together and form a smooth paste. Apply on your face for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.

I have used many masks before but this one was definitely a little different. It has an amazing and constant cooling effect on the face from the moment you put it on. Kinda like Fuller's Earth, if you've ever used that. The smell isn't strong, in case you don't like the smell of Spirulina (I personally really like it). After about 15 minutes, it was partially dry (because we used a thick layer) and when we washed it off, our skin felt firm, soft and bright! Overall, I think this is a fantastic skin mask that should be used at least once or twice a week to get the full benefit from the Spirulina. I would do it before showering because it can get messy. Washing it off under a running shower is easier than washing off in a sink! 😄
